Graduate Ecologists
We are seeking reliable and motivated Graduate Ecologists to join our Overton, Hampshire office. In this role, you will work alongside our experienced team, conducting field surveys for a variety of species, including bats, great crested newts, badgers, reptiles, otters, and water voles, throughout the South of England.
You will also manage and analyse field data, conduct desk studies, assist with UK Habitat surveys, and contribute to technical reporting. Full training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for graduates looking to develop their skills and experience in ecological consultancy.
Contract Details:
Full-time position: 5–7 months starting in April, with the potential for extension or permanent placement.

- A degree in ecology or a related subject.

- A full driving license and access to a car insured for business use.
- A local residence or willingness to relocate.
- A genuine passion and knowledge for working in ecology.
- Membership of CIEEM is desirable.

Ecologist
We are recruiting a full-time Ecologist to be based at our Overton office. The role includes a mix of office-based and fieldwork duties, requiring flexibility, travel, and the ability to work night shifts when needed.
As a passionate and close-knit consultancy, we’re looking for a team player eager to grow their career while contributing to our success.
What we’re looking for
- A relevant degree qualification.
- Experience managing ecology projects.
- At least two years of experience in ecological consultancy.
- Membership of CIEEM.
- Knowledge of best practice survey and mitigation guidance.
- Familiarity with UK and EU ecological legislation.
- Experience with protected species surveys, habitat assessments, and UK Habitat surveys.
- Strong client liaison and team leadership skills.
- A full UK driving license.
Desirable Skills:
- One or more protected species licenses.
- FISC Level 3
- Experience producing BNG assessments using the Defra metric.
- Proficiency with QGIS.
- Level 2 bat survey license.
- Experience drafting Preliminary Ecological Appraisals, HRA assessments, and Biodiversity Management Plans.

- Salary: £26,000–£31,000 per annum (dependent on skills and experience).
