We work with a range of clients from across the public and private sector, on a variety of projects from bat license applications for loft conversions to managing multi species ecology aspects of major infrastructure and development projects.
CA Ecology provides a full range of ecology services (see our full service range here) including preliminary ecological apprasal and protected species surveys. As bat specialists, we provide advice, guidance and a range of surveys including (but not limited to) invasive techniques such as mist netting, harp trapping and acoustic lures, radio tracking, bat box and roost checks, hibernacula and underground surveys. Other aspects covered include building surveys; road, tree and woodland surveys, as well as acoustic monitoring, including digital mist netting, transects, passive surveillance, sound analysis and data management. With ecologists licensed to undertake bat work in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland we have extensive experience of mitigation and licensing with over 40 successful applications for bat development licences for a range of different species and roost types.
CA ecology also provides bespoke training courses in all aspects of bat ecology, surveys, mitigation and legal and planning policy issues for clients wishing to offer their staff Continuing Professional Development.
